Your Role
Responsible for portfolio management and the profitable development of the Property line of business within New Zealand. Leverage your expertise in underwriting Property schemes and body corporate policies to shape our market presence. You’ll be a key technical resource, supporting business development and ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our clients and partners.

Your Responsibilities:

Responsible for the profitable development of the Property lines of business within New Zealand and portfolio management in conjunction with the NZ Property Manager. Ensure achievement of profitable growth objectives.
Underwrite and negotiate renewals and new business in line with Company Guidelines.
Establish sound business relationships with the Company's Producers.
Assist the Growth and Development of the Company by proactively enhancing the profile of the company through existing and new distribution channels.
Establish close liaison and working relationships with other Product Line employees to maximise leveraged benefits to Chubb.
Complete all Administration requirements as necessary.
Manage all aspects of underwriting process including, quotation, programme referrals, binding receipt of closings and policy issuance. Recommends changes to standards or procedures where deficiencies have been found.
Assist with premium collections as required.
To be able assist in the review of manuscript and agreed broker wordings to ensure they comply with current market conditions and Chubb underwriting disciplines.
Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Establish close liaison and working relationships with the claims and the risk management team and refer to them when and where necessary.
Promote and develop new business opportunities, as well as, maintaining renewals by developing and establishing relationships with key brokers who manage business in this segment.
To be able to deliver a high standard of service and broker relationship management and demonstrate a strong record of profitable new business development

Previous insurance experience essential – ideally 2 years’ plus with a passion for schemes and body corporate policies.

Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good written and oral communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills.
Focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to communicate confidently across all levels of the organisation and with clients/brokers.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Demonstrated intermediate skills in PC software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft
Outlook and new software as it applies to the position.
Full understanding of the insurance industry and how the client/broker/insurer relationships operate.
Desirable:

Property or Commercial lines experience.
