Doctors Gateway is recruiting Specialist Doctors in General Adult Psychiatry (also known as Psychiatrists) to relocate United Kingdom and join our Specialist programme, designed to support your journey towards becoming a Specialist or Consultant within the NHS.
To apply for this role, you must be working at a Consultant Doctor level in your country of residence.
This unique two-year, full-time Specialist programme provides structured support to help you complete the Portfolio Pathway (formerly the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration - CESR), in collaboration with the Royal Colleges. Throughout your employment, you will receive high-quality specialist training to enhance your professional development and career progression within the NHS.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will need to:
Hold a medical degree and be board-certified in psychiatry
Be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience since your primary medical qualification, including at least six years’ experience in general adult psychiatry or equivalent
Have General Medical Council (GMC) specialist registration and a valid licence to practise
Demonstrate specialised training or significant experience in psychiatry
Hold valid English language proficiency certificate

About the position
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Provide general adult psychiatric services with Consultant Psychiatrist guidance
Conduct psychiatric and risk assessments and develop treatment plans with the multi-disciplinary team in community and inpatient settings as needed
Promote a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach, offering consultancy support to Primary Care, Community Psychiatric Nurses, and Community Mental Health Team
This position also includes educational, training, and research responsibilities.
