Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is your hub for South Island exploration. With a convenient location in the Remarkables Park precinct just 5 minutes from Queenstown Airport, our full-service hotel has a range of modern facilities to make your stay extra comfortable while you create memories in the heart of New Zealand’s world-famous alpine playground!
We are recruiting for someone to join our team in a Public Areas Attendant role. This is a permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
A little taste of your day-to-day
You'll be responsible for ensuring the public areas of our hotel are clean and welcoming for guests to relax in after their day exploring Queenstown.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional fashion.
Ensure all the public areas of our hotel are clean and welcoming. This includes the lobby, public restrooms, corridors, meeting areas, fitness centre, elevators, staff changing rooms, canteen, and more!
Deliver items and supplies to our housekeeping team when required.
Help clean and maintain our 182 brand-new guest rooms.
What we need from you
Ideally but not required, you'll have previous experience in housekeeping or the hotel industry. You'll be skilled at prioritizing tasks and take pride in your ability to clean areas to the highest standard.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:
Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week - your typical shift is 5:00am - 2:00pm, however, some flexibility may be required.
A positive and energetic attitude
Self-motivated and a self-starter who can take the lead in any situation
Physically fit
An eye for detail
Takes pride in their work & hotel for this role as it is a key part of promoting a positive image to guests.
