We are seeking a Public Relations & Content Coordinator to join our team for a one-year maternity leave contract. The successful candidate will cover the role from May 2025 – April 2026.

The Public Relations & Content Coordinator role at Wines of Ontario (WOO) supports strategic, integrated public relations, marketing and communications campaigns for almost 200 VQA wineries across Ontario. This role focuses on administrative support for the PR team as well as content creation across digital platforms to strengthen our brand voice and enhance engagement.

As the Public Relations & Content Coordinator, your role includes:

Public Relations & Media Engagement:

Support the Senior Public Relations Manager in coordinating media relations, familiarization trips and industry events.

Respond to media requests, develop story pitches and manage media inquiries.

Monitor and track media coverage using tools like Cision and MRP.

Event & Logistics Support:

Assist in planning and executing promotional events to showcase Ontario VQA wines.

Coordinate the logistics of event-related shipments, including the consolidation and distribution of media, trade tastings and international competition shipments.

Ensure timely, compliant and well-tracked shipments for all events.

Content Strategy & Creation:

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand voice across all communications.

Produce and write content for various channels (social media, email, web, print) including press releases, articles, blogs, social posts, and web copy, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

Create engaging content for newsletters and email campaigns, using Mailchimp, that resonates with the target audience and are aligned with brand standards.

Utilize marketing automation tools to personalize email journeys and improve audience engagement.

Collaborate on the creation of visual assets (e.g., infographics, social media graphics) and video content (short clips for Instagram, long-form videos for YouTube) using Adobe Creative Suite and other tools.

Contribute to the creation of new content formats to keep the brand voice fresh (e.g., short-form posts, infographics).

Support editing and proofing of materials to meet the brand’s quality standards.

Social Media & Digital Strategy:

Manage content calendars and create social posts tailored to platform-specific audiences (Instagram, LinkedIn, email newsletters).

Monitor engagement and track social media performance, providing data-driven insights to optimize campaigns.

Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to inform content strategy.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Measure and report on the performance of social media and digital marketing campaigns using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, content management platforms and social media insights.

Provide regular performance updates and suggest improvements to optimize future campaigns.
