Job Description
In this role, the PR Manager will be responsible for SK Finance's efforts in increasing visibility in events and media stories. This role will manage and coordinate all events activity, with a focus on planning, relationship management, campaign management, managing events-based lead gen campaigns, and executing initiatives that support the firm’s growth strategy and brand visibility.
Responsibilities
• Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
• Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, authored articles and other public relations materials
• Lead a team and be overall accountable for their performance
• Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
• Prepare company spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements.
• Source speaker/ panel discussion opportunities for the company's spokespeople
• Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a monthly basis
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
• Responsible for execution of curated events with identified publishers to drive brand visibility and generate leads
• Own and drive content at events in collaboration with brand team
• Close collaboration with legal and finance for ensuring smooth documentation processes
• On-ground presence to ensure SOP adherence
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Maintain a keen understanding of BSFI industry trends affecting and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Create PPTs and other collateral to project the work
• Share daily reports on coverages opportunities and crisis management
Qualification:
• 4+ years of working experience with public relations agency required, rest will not be entertained
• Proficient in English - exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
