JOB TITLE: PUBLISHING EDITOR (PART-TIME | PER PROJECT)
Organisation: Bethel Publishing House
Location: Remote
Bethel Publishing House is seeking an experienced Publishing Editor to work on a part-time, per-project basis.
This role requires an editor with strong critical analysis, sound publishing judgment, and hands-on experience across the full book production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional critique analysis and clear editorial judgment on manuscripts
Proofread and edit manuscripts for structure, language, flow, and coherence
Perform basic typesetting and manuscript preparation for publication
Advise authors on content quality, readiness for publication, and revisions needed
Manage ISBN processes and publishing requirements
Direct and guide graphic designers on book cover concepts and publishing standards
Ensure manuscripts align with professional publishing expectations before release
Requirements:
Proven experience in book editing and critique analysis
Strong command of English and editorial standards
Experience with ISBN registration and publishing workflows
Ability to give honest, constructive feedback to authors
Experience working with designers and overseeing book cover direction
Strong organizational skills and respect for deadlines
