Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented employee to join our team in Mumbai. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for our company's operations.
Responsibilities:
Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers, comparing costs, quality, delivery speed, and terms to secure the best value.
Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to company policies.
Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns to forecast demand, prevent shortages, and optimize inventory holding costs.
Follow up on all outstanding orders, coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and proper receipt of materials.
Inspect and review the quality of purchased materials/services, and ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate and updated records of all purchases, contracts, pricing, and supplier information.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and budget analysis.
