Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to execute sourcing, purchasing, negotiating, and vendor coordination for technical products and services. Purchase Engineer will work with engineering and project management team, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment that meet quality and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze technical requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to identify procurement needs.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotation), compare bids, and participate in vendor selection.
Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and legal regulations.
Monitor and manage vendor performance and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and storage of goods.
Track procurement status, maintain documentation, and generate regular procurement reports.
Participate in cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical), Supply Chain, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a technical or engineering or solar.
Strong understanding of engineering specifications and supply chain principles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Company uses its internally designed systems to receive, track and follow up its purchase requirements. Purchase executive should have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Google sheets, docs will be preferred.
