We are hiring Purchase Executive for a leading Garment Manufacturing Company
Overview
As a Purchase Executive at our leading garment manufacturing company in Royapettah, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, machinery, and services. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with vendors while negotiating favorable terms to contribute to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities
• Source, select, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality and cost-effective products.
• Develop and implement strategies for procurement, sourcing, and vendor management.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and trends in order to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Manage and maintain accurate procurement and purchasing records for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in inventory management to avoid shortages and excess stock.
• Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role in the garment manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
• Proficient in analyzing data and making informed decisions based on market trends.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost control strategies.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
