Roles & responsibilities
Commodity Gauges & Fixtures, Injection Molding Tools
1. Source and qualify new vendors
2. Vendor visits and vendor audits to ensure quality system adherence
3. Ensure equal loading to all qualified vendors
4. Receive drawings from user departments and float enquiries to suitable suppliers
5. Receive quotes, analyze the quoted hours, compare and negotiate price
6. Resolve any issues / clarifications in drawing with design / vendor. Suggest optimum way to achieve results
7. Receive PRs, release Purchase orders and get delivery confirmation
8. Maintain daily status of delivery and follow-up to ensure on time receipt
+. Co-ordinate with concerned engineers upon receipt of material for approval
10. Assist in resolving or getting rework done in case of any quality issues
11. Getting material received accounted and responsible to ensure on time payment
12. Regular visits to supplier to keep abreast of developments
13. Team management
Skills abilities
1. Should be an expert in machining operations and should have sound knowledge in gauges and fixtures, injection moulding tools, press tools
2. Capable of managing a supplier base of about 20
3. Capable of estimating the machining operations, machining hours and the cost
4. Capable of recommending improvement in operations
5. Knowledge of different materials used in the commodity required
6. Should know MS office and have ERP exposure
7. Should be able to Interpret drawings and should know Autocad & Pro-E
8. Good Analytical skills required
+. Good Communication skills
10. Should be well versed with quality standards like ISO+001 & IATF16+4+
11. GD&T knowledge is preferable
12. Should be capable of leading a team of 2-3 engineers under him
Experience
B.E Mechanical with 8-10 yrs experience
Diploma Tool & Die making with 10-12 yrs experience
