As an Electrical Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and supplies. Your role will involve purchasing, getting the best products for less, and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality materials at competitive prices
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and requirements
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Coordinate with field project managers and supervisors
- Assist with production planning by ensuring timely delivery of materials
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge in electrical supply chain
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier options and make informed decisions
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
