Purchasing Officer (Supply Chain)

Pelwatte Dairy Industries limited (PDIL) has an opportunity available for a dynamic individual to drive its Purchasing activities under finance department. He will responsible to buy materials, goods, and services on behalf of the company to be resold or used in daily operations. also maintaining stock levels, and may also be on alert regarding market availabilities, negotiate with vendors, and interview prospective suppliers. Also, the candidate should be able to multitask and evaluate quality & service standard of products and vendors. Exceptional candidates should be smooth negotiators with a keen eye for detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full Cream Milk Powde
• Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
• Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
• Conducting and coordination supplier audits.
• Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
• Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
• Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
• Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
• Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
• Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals.
• Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
• Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent organizing and planning skills.
• The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
• The ability to follow client specifications.

• Diploma in business management, Accounting, logistics, Supply Chain & Material Management will be added advantage.
• Minimum 2 Years working experience in Purchasing / ProcurementWork Experience in Manufacturing or FMCG
• organization is an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office Software's'Experience in using SAP ERP or Similar Mainstream ERP is added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to Conduct Quality Control Inspection of Material & ingredients.
• Should possess Valid Driving / Motor Bike License.
Reporting Location - Kelaniya.
