Job Description
As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions that enable our products to meet the needs of our users. You will work closely with the product team, embedded engineers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain software that is efficient, reliable, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities
● Developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUI): You will be responsible for designing and implementing GUIs using Python libraries like PyQt, Tkinter or Kivy
● Image processing: You will develop and implement algorithms for image processing, including segmentation, feature extraction, and object detection using OpenCV or other relevant libraries
● MCU communication: You will work with embedded engineers to develop and implement communication protocols between Microcontroller Units (MCUs) and other devices using Python
● OCR development: You will be responsible for developing and implementing optical character recognition (OCR) algorithms using Python libraries like Tesseract or OpenCV to enable text recognition from images
● Microprocessor programming: You will work along with embedded engineers, on single board computers such as Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone or Odroid and other micro processors, to program and interface various actuators such as microcontrollers, motors, sensors, and other peripherals using python
● Full Stack Web App development: Using Python web frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Pyramid
● Code maintenance: You will ensure that the codebase is well-documented in Git, tested, and maintained to ensure high-quality software delivery
Requirements
● 1-2 years of experience in Python development, with experience in building Graphical User Interfaces, image processing, and OCR development
● Working Knowledge of Python libraries and frameworks like PyQt, Tkinter, Kivy, OpenCV, Flask, Django, Pyramid, Tesseract, and others
● Basic Knowledge in microprocessor communication protocols like SPI, UART, I2C
● Experience in developing and implementing algorithms for image processing, segmentation, and object detection
● Understanding of software development principles and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and TDD
● Working knowledge in code documentation and GitHub
● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
