Role Summary:
This position is US & UK shift in rotational, Lead id responsible Design and develop software solutions that fits within guidelines set forth by Security. Work efficiently with Product Teams, BA & Scrum Masters to successfully deliver projects on time. Create documentation supporting the development work to release / implementation teams to deploy changes in Lower / higher environments. Identify & Implement new / improved technologies / tools to benefit supported systems and business.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintenance, development, and support of a cloud hosted platform for Financial Reporting needs
• Perform integration with other existing Cloud based and on-premises platforms or services
• Assist in new client on-boarding and enhance and build new reports supporting the new client & business needs
• Diagnose and correct system problems, requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Monitor system performance and report performance and fine tune per the demand
• Innovative and able to assess potential improvement opportunities and provide solutions
• Design and develop Software solutions that fits within the guidelines set forth by Security, Architecture and Solution Leads.
• Responsible for mentoring and guiding team members any complex or challenging situations that requires advanced knowledge
• Create documentation and test scripts supporting the development work. Also provide documentation to Release/implementation teams to help them successfully deploy changes to Production environment.
• Support business as usual activities (BAU) with Application support and Customer Operations team including but not limited to resolving production defects, performance issues and system outages.
• Identify and implement new and improved technologies & tools that would benefit supported systems and business.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
Key Responsibilities:
• Minimum 7 Years of software development and design experience
• Hands-on experience writing software in Python, Django, Oracle, and Web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• RDBMS Experience with exposure to writing and performance tuning Stored Procedures, SQL queries and jobs, specifically in Oracle
• Experience designing and maintaining applications Django, Web Services/RESTful services/Microservices/APIs
• Knowledge/experience in Amazon Web Services (S3, EBS, EC2, SQS, SNS, RDS - Oracle)
• Should possess Analytical, Design, Architectural and documentation skills and able to solve challenging problems across SDLC be they technical, process or interpersonal.
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Experience working in Banking/Finance/Accounting sector or data related platforms/software is a plus
• Experience using tools like JIRA, Visio and MS Office tools for documentation and work tracking
• Innovative and able to assess potential improvement opportunities and provide solutions
