Job summary:
As a Software Engineer III in the Prime Finance Credit team of the Corporate & Investment Banking business at JPMorgan Chase , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
Develop core framework, components and UI for Credit SRE Platform. Align development with the Markets SRE strategy.
Design and Develop Observability instrumentation for various shared in house and external systems.
Develop Framework to automate various dashboards in Geneos and Grafana.
Work across entire software development lifecycle - requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment.
Enhance the team by demonstrating best practice throughout the software development lifecycle: testing, code review, accurate status reporting, focus on application resilience and "operability".
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
Experience with any Metrics based system - Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, APM Tools
Strong analytical development skills, solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and experience in real-time, high performance and/or SRE/Monitoring areas.
Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems with technology and an ability to quickly translate requirements into a sound technical design and implementation.
Experience with SCM tools: Bitbucket/Git, Continuous integration tools.
Proven organizational skills, decisive priority management, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
Exposure to cloud technologies
