QA Automation Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Manager - Software Development.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Python.
Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to maximize coverage of software functionality.
Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system;
Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify test requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of software applications.
Analyze test results and report bugs and issues to the development team using bug tracking tools.
Participate in test case reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automated testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2-3 years Automation experience is required;
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, specifically Selenium WebDriver and Python.
Proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable automation scripts using Python.
Experience with web application testing, including testing across different browsers and platforms.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
Experience with Agile methodology and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other automation tools/frameworks such as Appium.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with the tools such as Postman, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Familiarity with database testing and SQL.
Relevant certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium WebDriver certification) are a plus.
