About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with hands-on experience in using Docker and Kubernetes. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through thorough testing and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Test Planning and Execution:
● Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases. ● Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on web applications.
● Automation:
● Design and develop automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright. ● Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
● Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, or Bash (or any shell). ● Containerization:
● Create, manage, and deploy Docker containers for testing environments. ● Collaborate with DevOps to ensure seamless integration of Docker in CI/CD processes.
● Orchestration:
● Use Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale applications in testing environments.
● Ensure that testing environments are consistent, scalable, and resilient. ● Defect Management:
● Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA.
● Work closely with developers to resolve issues and verify bug fixes. ● Collaboration:
● Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software releases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Education:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
● Experience:
● 2-4 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. ● Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a QA role.
● Technical Skills:
● Proficient in writing and executing test plans and test cases.
● Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
● Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, Playwright, TestNG).
● Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
● Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Bash.
● Soft Skills:
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
● Knowledge of microservices architecture and testing strategies. ● Certification in QA or related fields is a plus.
