Our client is a rapidly growing tech startup using AI and predictive analytics to transform in-store retail. Their platform enables brands to deliver real-time, personalized shopping experiences by combining touchscreen displays, behavioral sensors, and advanced data analysis. With partnerships that include Samsung and well-known consumer brands, they’re pushing the boundaries of connected retail.
They’re hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer with direct experience testing AI applications and features. This role also requires hands-on exposure to DevOps-related technologies as well. You’ll work closely with engineers and product teams to build and maintain automation frameworks, ensure high-quality software releases, and validate the reliability of AI-powered systems. This is a hybrid position based in Jersey City, NJ, with 2–3 days per week onsite.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of QA experience, with proven work testing AI applications or features
• Experience with DevOps tools and environments (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
• Proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or other automation frameworks
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
• Strong grasp of AI testing methodologies (A/B testing, adversarial, white box)
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
• Flexible schedule to support occasional evening testing needs; minimal travel (<5%)
• Bonus: Notable achievements such as startup experience, military background, or advanced degree
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and execute test plans for AI-driven applications and backend systems
• Automate testing workflows and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Validate AI model outputs for accuracy, fairness, and performance
• Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and performance testing
• Document and track issues, working with developers to resolve them quickly
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define QA standards and release criteria
• Continuously improve test coverage, tools, and practices

Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time permanent role with a salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 USD, depending on experience.
