Job description
Job Title: QA Engineer – API & SQL
Experience: 6 to 8 Years
Location: Chennai
Shift Timings: Rotational
• 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM
• 11:30 AM – 08:30 PM
• 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Monthly Budget: ₹1.5 Lakhs per Month
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute API test cases using tools like Postman or similar.
• Perform comprehensive SQL-based backend data validation.
• Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Document and report bugs, and follow up until resolution.
• Identify, record, and track bugs using standard bug tracking tools.
• Contribute to test planning, test execution, and test reporting processes.
Required Skills:
• 6–8 years of experience in Manual/Functional Testing with a strong focus on API and database testing.
• Proficiency in REST API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and verification.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in automation is a plus.
Additional Details:
• Candidates should be open to work in rotational shifts.
• Work Location: Chennai
• Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days.
