About the role:
We're looking for a QA Test Developer who is passionate about ensuring top-notch quality in software applications to play a crucial role in elevating the reliability of our platform! You will design and develop automated test frameworks while collaborating with talented developers and product managers to integrate seamless testing into our pipeline. You'll have the opportunity to write and execute automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications, empowering you to directly contribute to the performance and excellence of our products with real life impact.
Your impact:
Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using WebdriverIO or similar test automation tools.
Writing and executing automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
Performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborating with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
Debugging issues, analyzing test results, and providing feedback to improve product quality.
Working with developers to identify and implement test strategies for new features.
Ensuring test automation best practices are followed, including test reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and story grooming to ensure test coverage is aligned with business goals.
Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports.
Advocating for testability, automation, and quality in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Assisting in the implementation of shift-left testing strategies to catch defects early in the development cycle.
You bring:
4+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing or software development.
Strong experience with WebdriverIO or similar test automation frameworks.
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for developing test scripts.
Hands-on experience with Appium for native and hybrid iOS and Android app testing.
Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify, report, and resolve defects effectively.
Experience with API testing frameworks such as Mocha, Supertest, or Postman.
Strong database and SQL query skills.
Advanced experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and collaboration.
Familiarity with various testing tools and techniques.
Knowledge of AWS products and services.
Experience with Ruby on Rails and experience testing Ruby on Rails applications.
Bonus points for:
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs or LambdaTest.
ISTQB certification
Passion for building scalable and efficient test automation solutions
