About the Role
This is a rare entry level opportunity to join our Quality Bakers site in Wellington as our Quality Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator. This role will be based on-site and takes responsibility for maintaining and improving the Safety, Health and Environment Systems and the Food Safety & Quality systems for the site.
To achieve this, your responsibilities will include:
Annual Health & Safety and Quality plans established for the site, identifying goals/targets and improvement opportunities
Complete internal and external audits including root cause, corrective and preventative actions (insurance, STGFW checklists, ACC partnerships, environmental, food safety & quality)
Drive a culture of compliance to commitment for Health & Safety & Food Safety for the site by engaging with the team to enable this change
About You
To make this role a success, we are looking for an organised and driven individual who, ideally, has previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Skillsets, qualifications and experience we would like to see, include:
Familiarity with a food manufacturing environment
Organised self-driven individual with strong communication and training skills
The ability to build strong lasting relationships with stakeholders across the site (and business) which in turns enables you to take people on the journey from compliance to commitment
Excellent computer literacy and ability to quickly pick up different systems
Relevant HSE or Food Safety certification, or working towards one would be useful but not essential
