Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager

The Role

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Sheffield, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.

The business is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join their Swinton office.

Due to the highly varied client base, successful candidates will develop great exposure across all areas of audit and accounting, coupled with working within a highly supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the senior management team, duties of the Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager will include the following:

Oversee an allocation of clients within a varied portfolio

Assist with client audits, from planning through to completion

Preparation of Statutory accounts

Preparation of Management Accounts

Preparation of Management Information

Corporate and Personal Tax

Training and advice on accounting software

Provide commercial business support

Assist with staff development and training

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicants must have developed a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within the accountancy profession and will be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally applicants will have also developed experience within an audit environment.

Salary/Benefits

£35,000 - £40,000

23 Days plus statutory holidays

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
