Job Description
Assemble scaffolding, ladders, and protective drop sheets to safeguard surrounding areas from paint splashes.
Prepare surfaces by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timberwork, filling gaps and cracks, and smoothing and sealing for a clean finish.
Mix paints to specified colours by combining pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents to achieve the desired consistency and drying time.
Apply paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Install wallpaper, carefully matching patterns and trimming edges for a neat result.
Clean tools and maintain a tidy worksite after completing tasks.
Perform minor window repairs and replace broken glass in wooden and metal frames as needed.
Lay and repair wall and floor tiles when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in painting.
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray systems.
Ability to work safely and efficiently, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Good communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
