Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, SQL, and test automation frameworks like Selenium and Playwright, along with a solid understanding of TDD and BDD concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Java for web applications.
• Utilize Selenium and Playwright for UI and functional test automation.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies to improve test coverage and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quick feedback cycles.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation frameworks and best practices.
• Utilize basic GCP services for testing and debugging in a cloud-native environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation using Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
• Proficiency in SQL for validating data integrity and backend processes.
• Solid understanding of TDD and BDD concepts; experience with tools like Cucumber or JBehave.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Basic understanding of GCP and its services related to application testing and deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to testing in microservices or distributed cloud environments.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing tools is a plus.
