Job Description
QA Engineer you will help contribute to the overall company strategy by validating that the application meets design specifications and requirements. This includes iOS applications, Android applications, Web applications and any other digital to human interfaces. The products should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with the supported devices, browsers, user interfaces.
Responsibilities
• Take ownership of QA tasks for a number of projects
• Create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation
• Create and maintain non-functional tests (ADA, security, performance, etc.)
• Work collaboratively within high-performance teams (e.g. product managers, developers, UI, and UX designers) to champion product quality for our clients
• Perform QA technical testing tasks for Cross Browser and Devices UI Testing, API and database testing
• Escalate critical issues, blockers, and risks in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelines
• Assess the quality health of a project to determine whether or not the project is ready for release
• Document and track defects according to the company’s standards in a bug tracking system
• Debug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficiently
• Participate in reviews of requirements, UX/UI designs, and other deliverables for testability
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on Quality Assurance best practices, methodologies, and processes.
Qualifications
• 3 years of cross-browser, UI/UX, and iOS/Android/desktop manual testing
• Proficiency with functional testing and experience with non-functional testing
• Proficient in API and Database Testing
• You have a deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• You have a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
• You have experience providing mentorship to other team members on QA best practices and methodologies
• You’re self-driven and take ownership of tasks from beginning to completion
• You are able to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• You are detail-oriented, incredibly meticulous, and you enjoy the fine attention to detail required to spot, prevent, and troubleshoot any issues before our clients find them
• Experience with project and bug tracking tools as Jira, Mantis
• Expertise creating and maintaining QA documentation like test plans, test cases and status reports and collecting metrics
• Experience being receptive to learn and work with new technologies
• Ability to be assertive in communication
Nice to have
• You having experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts (preferably with Javascript, Selenium Webdriver, JMeter, Cypress, Cucumber, and/or Appium)
• Good to have Java Language knowledge.
• Exposure to Security Testing
