Quality Assurance Manager
PPG Industries

You will guarantee the application of the aerospace quality policy within our site located in Shildon (UK) and introduce a performance-oriented approach to quality, while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and normative obligations related to quality, including ISO+001, EN+100 and EN+210 standards, and NADCAP AC7200, AC7200/1 and AC7200/2 audit criteria.
You will report to the EMEA Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Quality Assurance Team, including QA Engineers and Analysts.
• Develop the site Quality Management System (QMS) to exceed Industry and Customer standards, so that all existing site Quality approvals are maintained, and new approvals obtained.
• Monitor and analyse data on all aspects of Quality performance, and to develop plan and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Provide guidance, training and leadership to your team and other departments on the use of improvement tools and techniques to support the business.
• Promote the PPG Quality Process and the Quality culture.
Qualifications
• 10 + years working with quality systems from Aerospace, defence or other regulated industry.
• 5 + years experience in a management position.
• Internal and external auditor experience essential.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/PPAP), Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving techniques (8D/+S), statistical techniques (SPC) and experience of their application.
