Full job description
Based at our manufacturing site at Botany, the role of Sanitation Manager leads the sanitation and housekeeping program for the site, ensuring compliance with global food safety standards while addressing the unique challenges of an aged infrastructure, complex zoning, and a diverse, unionized workforce. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement in sanitation practices, contractor performance, and pest management, while fostering a culture of accountability and hygiene excellence across all shifts and teams.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

Accountable for the facility sanitation standard and drive improvement by daily health checks and monthly sanitation score review

Accountable for service provider activities related to housekeeping and sanitation (e.g. cleaning, chemical and Integrated Pest Management provider). This includes RFP, budget management, service evaluation and KPIs tracking against contract, non-compliance investigation etc.

Conduct audits and provide coaching through daily sanitation audit, S&H audit, glass audit, Golden Gemba, Periodic Infrastructure Cleaning Inspection (PIC)

Responsible to keep all plant Sanitation and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) related documents up to date with local, regional & global requirements for compliance with both internal and external audit.

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure sanitation zoning integrity is maintained, especially in high-risk areas, and that cleaning protocols are adapted to infrastructure limitations

Coach and develop a small team of Sanitation Coordinators, ensuring the team work to required standards

We’re Looking for Someone With

This role will suit an experienced Sanitation Manager familiar with the FMCG industry. You will be thorough, and detail oriented with a proven track record of leading a team as well as managing a variety of third party vendors. You will bring to the role sound technical knowledge of quality and sanitation practices with a familiarity of various audit processes.

Previous experience in either a quality or sanitation role within the FMCG industry

Demonstrable experience leading teams and ensuring accuracy

Strong negotiating and influencing skills with previous experience managing third party vendors

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with people throughout the business both inside and outside of your team

Excellent written & verbal communication skills – at all levels
