Are you an experienced Quality professional with good knowledge and experience of Business Operations?

At Leonardo Edinburgh we are looking for our next Quality Team Lead to drive, develop, and improve the quality people, processes, culture, safety and customer experience enabling world class production of our products and to support our continued business growth.

As Quality Team Lead you will cover both delivery and capability, plan and manage people, resources, projects and communications in support of the Quality Manager, Operations leadership and Business Area leadership.

Your Impact
• Be a leader of a business area quality management team, responsible for effective leadership, planning and communication of objectives
• Defect management to include management plan for the continued reduction related KPI’s utilising effective tools, techniques and reporting to drive a robust Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) culture
• Work in conjunction with the Supplier Quality and Procurement Leader to create specific supplier management plans to ensure:
• Identification of key supplier risks
• Effective plan of surveillance activities for key suppliers
• KPIs including QN / SCAR performance are established and maintained
• Deliver KPIs via robust action planning in order to maintain the defined operations KPIs, used to review and inform decision making

What you’ll bring:
• Expertise in quality, operations, operations framework, manufacturing, leadership principles and business processes, such as finances
• People management & leadership skills; including effective performance and change management skills (change agent)
• Expertise in influencing and negotiating with others using facts, proposals, data and analysis to support line of reasoning
• Evidence of leadership of capability and process development within quality engineering and ability to implement change
• Ability to partner effectively with operations, project teams, customers and suppliers
• Experience in reducing Total Cost of Non-Quality and implementation of a root cause and corrective action culture positively effecting business
• Knowledge and proven track record in use of core quality tools including RCA, 8D, FMEA, APQP etc

Security Clearance

This role will require National Security Vetting to SC level. It is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. A range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) will apply, this will include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
