Job Title: Senior Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to join QBuild for a challenging role as a Senior Supervisor. The position involves effectively managing and coordinating project planning and delivery activities to maximise project profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising various office staff, field staff and contractors who perform a range of project planning, product delivery, contract supervision and client liaison activities.

About The Role:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing state-wide planning, building, maintenance, and disaster response services that utilise local suppliers and QBuild tradespeople and apprentices.

Duties and Skills Involved:
Planning and delivering projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors and the effective management of resources such as plant and equipment, depots and motor vehicles.
Monitoring and reviewing project standards using effective work order management techniques that monitor and report to stakeholders on the status and quality of service, project delivery and expenditure, and achieve compliance with industry best practice and agreed cost and time parameters.
Managing regional resources to effectively deliver construction, maintenance and upgrade projects ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and practices.
Providing a high level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild.
Providing operational contract supervisory services in respect to construction and engineering contracts on major and complex projects.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients through effective and regular communication, sound negotiation and the achievement of program outcomes which meet client expectations.
Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
Promoting QBuild products and services to existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and established forums and identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging trends in asset management.
Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
A construction industry-related trade qualification is highly desirable. Thorough working knowledge of building construction and maintenance legislative and regulatory requirements, principles and practices and contract procedures.

Mandatory Requirements:
Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card. Current Drivers Licence
