We are seeking a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. While some training will be provided, the ideal candidate should be able to solder rads, quick to learn and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks including sandblasting, grinding, cleaning and testing radiators and oil coolers etc., straightening fins, painting.
Operate various hand and power tools, as well as shop equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes (experience is an asset; training can be provided).
Assist with loading and unloading materials and maintain a clean work area.
Capable of cleaning and testing rads. Able to remove tanks, measure cores, solder rads together.
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Able to silver and soft solder radiators (Required)
Steel toe boots are required.
Proficiency in English, spoken, written and understood.
Ability to lift, carry, or pull up to 75 lbs and perform a mix of standing, walking, crouching, bending, and kneeling.
Punctual with a strong work ethic, able to work safely in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Job Details:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $28.00 per hour (negotiable given previous experience)
Additional Pay: Overtime, annual discretionary bonus
Benefits: Dental care, extended health care, RSP matching
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, paid lunch (30 minutes) Potential for overtime with longer days and/or working Saturdays.
