Radiographer in Mammography

💰 £2,200 - £3,520 (Est.) 📍 City of London

Job Description

We are looking for a Radiographer who is a qualified Mammographer with considerable experience to take a Clinical Excellence role within Breast Imaging.

You will be part of a team who support each other and take pride in delivering excellent care.

The role is primarily a clinical one and you will spend your working day undertaking mammography and mammo-based procedures. You will also take responsibility for elements of planning, demonstrate leadership, help to standardise procedures, create efficiencies and promote best practice as a single, integrated unit based on three sites. Building relationships and encouraging co-operation are important parts of this role.

Opportunities will arise to train in Advanced Practice, such as Imaging Interpretation and Interventional Procedures, and you will be able to apply for these in a competitive internal process as part of this role.

Most of your work will be with the Symptomatic service; however you will also be required to work in Screening/Assessment as part of the Service Level Agreement between Barts Health and the Central and East London Breast Screening Service. It is therefore essential that you have experience of working in a Breast Screening environment to NBSS standards. You may also be required to provide Breast Screening on a sessional basis.

You should be a qualified Radiographer who holds the Post Graduate Certificate of Professional Practice in Mammography and be HCPC registered. Capable and willing to work to the highest standards, committed to patient care and with the desire to work in this exacting environment. You should have extensive active post-graduate experience as a Radiographer and further years of mammography experience
