Description
The Network Operations Specialist focuses upon the provision of network operations advice and administration and provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy. The Network Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers. Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager. #_VOIS
• Educational / bachelor in Telecommunication;
• Experience in Telecommunication in similar functions (0 to 2 years for Junior, above 2 years for senior)
• Communicate skills to explain technical situations /status towards non-technical communities;
• Work under pressure and crisis situation;
• Working in technical IT applications environment;
• Knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE, Radio Equipment’s RBS, BSC, RNC, packet network SGSN, site infrastructure, and transmission equipment’s PDH/SDH/BEP, metro Ethernet, IP;
• Knowledge of ITIL Incident Management;
• Ability to influence, negotiate, persuade internal and external parties;
• Agile methodologies;
• Ability to work in shifts and teamwork;
• Technical preparation and language knowledge (written and spoken) in English, Portuguese;
• Some skill with programming languages to help in the automation
