Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling:
• Analyze customer orders, sales forecasts, and production capacity to develop detailed production plans and schedules that meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
• Utilize production planning and scheduling software (e.g, MRP systems, ERP systems) to manage work orders and track production progress.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment according to production schedules.
• Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or delays and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth production flow.
Material Management & Inventory Control
• Implement Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to forecast material needs, manage inventory levels effectively, and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of materials and components.
• Monitor inventory levels closely and implement strategies to optimize stock management and prevent stockouts.
Production Control & Monitoring
• Track production progress in real-time, identify deviations from the planned schedule, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure product quality meets established standards.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, recommend process optimization strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare production reports to keep management informed of key metrics and production Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a production planning and control role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning principles, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proficiency in using production planning and scheduling software (e.g, MRP systems, ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address production challenges effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in planning, data analysis, and reporting
