Job Description
The Collection and Underwriting department focuses on the collection of the bank's various loan products like Home Loans, Car Loans, and Personal Loans among others. While underwriting department focuses on risk mitigation towards the loan offered to the customers. The department is key for the Loans business vertical as it is responsible for controlling and ensuring timely EMI collection and maintaining risk of the business.
About the Role:
The Legal zonal manager is responsible for representing the bank against all the legal authorities and regulators and in all banking committees to review and assure any action from the legal point of view. They are also responsible for ensuring due diligence and documentation in furthering the business of the Bank and taking care of all consumer cases as well as recovery of all NPAs.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor legal actions taken for cases filed by the bank and filed against the bank- civil and criminal cases of the zone
• Co-ordinate with regional legal manager's for proper processing and closure of legal cases filed by bank and filed against bank
• Ensure Legal action filing in delinquent cases
• Co- ordinate with audit agencies
• Ensure Smooth functioning with the Settlement and Legal software
Qualifications:
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
• LLB/ LLM
Role Proficiencies:
For successful execution of the job, the candidate should possess the following:
• Knowledge of banking products and services
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms
• Relevant experience of Collections related Litigation (experience in SARFAESI, DRT, arbitration, 138 NIA and criminal matters)
• Good communication (both verbal and written) skill in both English and the local language
• Ability to manage complex cases and client situations
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
