Introduction:
Within the Technology CCO Function, the Framework Design & Execution (FD&E) team is responsible for the development of robust and fool proof risk frameworks as required by the business units and functions and adhering to the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). Main purpose is as follows:
• Operate as a controls consultant to the Horizontal and Vertical stakeholders, when working on BAU processes for risk event breaches, exceptions, requests for amendments of controls, controls lineage and risk profile assessment.
• To develop and effectively manage software projects delivering solutions for Barclays Group Operational Risk Framework, through effective partnering.
• Develop strong and productive working relationships with local line management and global stakeholders team to ensure continuous engagement on key deliverables are shared on a timely basis.
What will you be doing?
• Provide the business with expert guidance, support, oversight and independent challenge to ensure that all material business risks and key controls are identified, documented, measured, monitored and mitigated.
• Facilitate risk and control assessments by documenting the key risk themes, control effectiveness, potential impacts, and mitigating actions across complex issues and major change programmes.
• Maintain oversight and quality assurance routines for management self-assessment processes to ensure key controls operate as prescribed
What we're looking for:
• Masters (or) Bachelor's degree.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, quick learner, team player
• Proficiency working with MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Working experience with a multi national bank / consulting firm with strong understanding of risk and controls
• Prior business analysis experience in a risk based role and managing a team of analysts
Skills that will help you in the role :
• Background in either Operations/Risk & Controls/Audit roles
• Exposure or previous experience in advanced excel, VBA and SQL is plus and good understanding of data analytics
• Working experience in articulation and writing of business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and communicating the same with the technology teams.
• Project management skills are essential as the stream as multiple ongoing technology initiatives that need to tracked and monitored.
• Exposure to any of the ERM modules like MetricStream/ORAC/Opera/MICOS/In-house risk management tool
• Effectively interface with customers at all levels (IT and Exec Level Mgmt. etc., business users)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Possess the ability to grasp Business functionality along with technical implementation
• Willingness to learn new functionality / technologies as required by Business/IT
