Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sensory Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team during the afternoon shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting sensory evaluation and quality control processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, consistency, and consumer appeal. Your expertise will contribute directly to research, development, and product improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities
• Conduct sensory testing sessions with trained panelists and evaluate product attributes such as aroma, flavor, texture, and appearance in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA regulations, and CGMP standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Prepare samples accurately, document test results meticulously, and record data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Support laboratory operations by performing routine cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of sensory equipment and instruments.
• Assist in developing and refining laboratory procedures for sensory evaluation and quality control testing.
• Collaborate with research teams on product development projects by providing detailed analysis and insights based on sensory data.
• Ensure compliance with microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, and veterinary terminology as needed for comprehensive testing processes.
Qualifications
• Proven experience working in industrial or research laboratories with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of GLP standards, FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and microbiology practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data collection and documentation.
• Background in animal physiology, veterinary terminology, or clinical laboratory experience is advantageous.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret scientific data accurately while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with research & development processes within a scientific or food/beverage industry setting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a solid foundation in math and laboratory techniques necessary for precise testing outcomes.
