R&D Senior Software Developer

You will be working as R&D Senior Software Developer, reporting to R&D Department Lead for Motion business, System Drives division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MOSD division.
Your responsibilities
• Designing and developing of software tools and solutions
• Collaborating with global/ local R&D and product management teams to develop world class tools and solutions
• Taking ownership of designing documents, technical specifications and test cases in line with quality systems design and architecture concepts
• Collaborating within R&D community and aligning with agile software development principles
• Demonstrating strong commitment to quality culture in ABB R&D
Your background
• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in Electronics, Computer science or related field
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in C#.Net, OOPS, XML, LINQ
• Must have strong experience in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), MVVM, Windows Application Development, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
• Good knowledge of communication over HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP protocols with other devices or applications
• Good experience on Nunit test, NSubstitute
• Basic understanding and competence on Azure and Cloud development
• Basic understanding of ASP.Net, Angular JS
• Knowledge of Code Quality tools like SonarQube
• Fair knowledge on Databases like SQL Server, Firebird, SQL Lite
• Experience in Unit testing for the developed modules / components
• Experience in working in Agile teams and strong understanding of agile ways of working
• Experience about CI/CD processes, Jenkins or equivalent tool
