As an R&D technician, you will operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a R&D/ low volume manufacturing operation. The R&D technician works on a team of several technicians and reports to the R&D Pilot Line operations leader.

Key job responsibilities:
• Set up, operate, monitor semi-automatic machines and related equipment to support R&D trials and low volume manufacturing for Pad R&D
• Monitor process equipment, controls, and guidelines to ensure adherence to trial/production specifications
• Makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed.
• Escalates malfunctions and abnormalities as needed, participating as an active team member in troubleshooting
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows emergency protocols as necessary.
• May rotate through various roles as needed to meet the team needs
• Performs specialized and advanced activities on equipment

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to establish specialized skills on the area equipment through considerable work experience and job-related training
• 3+ years of experience in a production environment
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) & quality protective equipment - including respirator
• Ability to work with safety first in mind and escalate safety concerns as needed
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned work independently and within teams
• Strong attention to detail to prevent and minimize errors
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Requires ability to work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time
• Coordinates work with the team and can work autonomously with established procedures and practices.

This position doesn’t offer relocation assistance.
