Job Title: Senior React Native Developer (MQTT Experience)
Key Skills and Competencies:
React Native Expertise: Proficiency in React Native, a popular open-source framework from Facebook, to create iOS and Android applications using JavaScript and React. Solid understanding of the entire React Native development process including debugging, testing, deployment, and optimization.
JavaScript Proficiency: Strong expertise in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax, and understanding of functional or object-oriented programming paradigms.
MQTT Protocol Knowledge: Experience with the MQTT protocol, including topics, broker, publishers and subscribers, Quality of Service (QoS), retained messages, and Last Will and Testament. Familiarity with libraries or tools that enable MQTT usage in a React Native environment.
Mobile UI Design: Strong skills in creating intuitive, user-friendly mobile UIs using React Native components, and a good sense of UI/UX principles.
State Management: Experience with state management libraries like Redux, MobX or Context API.
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, particularly as they apply to mobile applications, and experience working with APIs.
Backend Integration: Experience with integrating mobile apps with backend services, databases, and third-party services.
Security: Knowledge of security best practices, including how to securely handle and store user data, as well as secure MQTT connections.
Debugging: Proficiency with debugging tools and practices within the React Native environment.
Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Unit Testing & QA: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha, and a commitment to creating quality, bug-free mobile applications.
DevOps: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications would be a plus.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 2 years focused on React Native.
Proven track record of developing and deploying apps on both iOS and Android platforms.
Demonstrable experience with MQTT in a mobile application environment, preferably with evidence of overcoming challenges and delivering reliable, performant solutions.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum development process is preferred.
Education:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically preferred, although extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
