Your role
Do you want to play a vital part in the design and development of our new Client Advisor Workbench Solution which will reflect the business needs in banking? Are you ready to take responsibility for the strategic solution development of the future in banking? Would you like to be a part of an inspiring team focussed on successful deliveries? We're looking for someone like you to:
• translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into designs and code
• work within an agile team with stakeholders drawn from IT and the Business, subject matter experts, vendor teams, enterprise architects and business analysts to develop your code related to our new solution
• drive excellence in: software analysis, design & coding, development methodologies, oral/written communication skills, technology planning
• challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and solutions
Your team
You’ll be working within UBS Business Solutions and in close collaboration with the team in Zurich. We plan and lead IT projects by having chosen an agile mode of working with a mindset around time-boxed delivery of solutions, empowerment of interdisciplinary product teams and close collaboration throughout the whole software development process.
Your expertise
You have:
• comprehensive knowledge in Software Engineering with JavaScript, React (incl. Redux/Flux), Hooks and JSX
• deep understanding of frontend development tools and technologies (e.g. NPM, Webpack, JS Unit Testing, CSS Pre- and Post-Processors, Responsive Webdesign, REST, ...)
• good understanding of tools (e.g. CI/CD Pipeline in GitLab, Ansible, Rex,...)
• good understanding of TDD / Clean Code and Design Patterns
• a graduate degree in IT Software Engineering
• a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• experience in a global environment
• a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking

• analytical skilled person who manages to cope with complex challenges in software engineering
• a verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues in English and German
