Hello,
We are currently looking for a educator to fill in a permanent position to be able to work all shifts between our opening hours of 7AM to 6PM, Monday to Friday in our younger years classrooms. The successful candidate must be a Permanent Resident or a Canadian Citizen.
We are also looking for a supply RECE.
We are in good standing with Ministry of Education and Region of Peel and have been in the business for about 30 Years. Our centre has 6 classrooms., age ranging from 3 months to 6 Years.

Responsibilities and Duties
Leadership and Administration
Extensive knowledge of and maintains the standards set out by the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA), Peel Children's Services Quality Initiative Program (Criteria) and current child development and initiatives related to early learning and the childcare field
Ensures that policies, procedures, and handbooks established by the Centre are met at all times
Establishes priorities, time allocation and resources effectively
Manages regular and concise record keeping and reporting with respect to all children in care
Effectively handles multiple demands and priorities
Readily and sensitively manages any conflicts/issues
Manages the resolution of service delivery issues, including the reporting/follow-up to management
Keep abreast of the status of childcare at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels of government
Supervision
Supervises children as well as lead, mentor, motivate and create a rich learning environment
Provides support to team members in developing highest quality curriculum and standards of care
Supervises and implements the planning and delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children
Ensures an open door policy environment is maintained at all times between families
participate actively in daily room meetings
Communication
Provides clear and transparent communications with all stakeholders including school staff, ministry, parents, community and other agencies
Excellent computer literacy utilizing Ministry software and relevant software applications e.g., Microsoft Office, Hi Mama
Daily contact is made with parents
To provide parents support and forward concerns to management
Sensitivity and understanding of diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds
Participate in community events at a municipal, regional level that promote NPNS
Human Resource Management
Provides constructive feedback to management
Attends regular staff meetings
Maintain children’s class files.
Works cooperatively with team members and management to ensure the smooth, enriching, and safe functioning of the centre
Confidentiality is maintained at all times in regard to the families and children
Ensure that the positive working relationships are established and maintained with staff, colleagues and the administration team
Self-Regulatory Management
Strong analytical, organizational time management skills
Able to think independently
Health and Safety
Ensures the health, welfare and safety of the children and is in compliance with legislation, policies and procedures related to health and safety [e.g., document all accidents, injuries and illness, follows medication forms and first aid procedures and maintains classroom health records for children (illness tracking form)]
Upon hiring each employee must have an updated First Aid and CPR certificate and Immunization
Be aware and report hazards to management

Qualifications and Skills
Required education:
Early Childhood Education Diploma/Degree
Required license or certification:
RECE certification number in good standing
Valid VSC
Negative TB Test
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years working in a licensed childcare centre
