Job Description:
As an Accounts Receivable (AR) you are responsible for managing the financial transactions related to revenue collection and ensuring that payments from guests and clients are received in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities will includes:
Generating invoices for hotel services provided to guests, groups, or clients.
Receiving and recording payments from guests, including cash, credit card, and checks.
Responding to guest inquiries related to their bills and providing detailed explanations as needed.
Handling accounts receivable for groups, conferences, and events, and coordinating with event organizers.
Assessing the creditworthiness of clients and determining credit limits for guests or groups.
Monitoring and tracking payments to ensure they are received on time, and following up on outstanding balances.
Reconciling guest accounts to ensure that all charges and payments match the records.
Managing delinquent accounts, which may include sending reminders, notifications, and initiating collections efforts.
Preparing and maintaining AR reports to track outstanding balances and provide financial data to management.
Categorizing outstanding balances by their age to identify and prioritize collection efforts.
Ensuring accurate recording and handling of cash payments.
Handling various payment methods and ensuring compliance with payment processing regulations.
Communicating with guests or clients in a professional and courteous manner to resolve payment issues.
Maintaining organized records of all financial transactions and communication related to AR.
Using accounting software or property management systems to manage AR records and transactions.
Processing refunds for overpayments or billing errors.
Handling and resolving billing disputes or discrepancies.
Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, financial regulations, and industry standards.
Skills & Requirements:
Hotel Management and/or skill relevant education preferred
Pleasing personality and good communication skills
Prior relevant hospitality experience in position of application.
Must be open to joining at any of the AM Hotel Kollection locations (AM Hotel Kollection is now at 11 locations & growing)
