Job Description
SUMMARY:
As Receptionist and Office Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for Vancouver Aquarium and will ensure a positive first impression. The Receptionist is responsible for offering administrative support across the organization, welcome visitors and coordinating front-desk activities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Create a welcoming environment by greeting visitors as soon as they arrive at the reception area and direct the visitors to the appropriate person and office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Work closely with Security team to manage and program access control system
Perform other clerical receptionist duties as required
Perform office administration duties and ensure timely ordering of supplies
Manage the upkeep of the staff lounges, including ordering supplies on time
Provide executive administrative support to the Directors group
Run the stellar pantry program, including donation drives, ordering supplies and staff communication
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist or similar role
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Friendly, positive and team-oriented attitude
Proficient at an intermediate level with MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
SALARY RANGE: $1+ - $25 per hour + extended health & dental benefits
