Healthy Connections is part of Burnie Brae, a vibrant not-for-profit bringing a wide range of community services to life - from transport and homecare to allied health and engaging member activities. At our Chermside clinic, we deliver multidisciplinary allied health services both in-clinic and in clients’ homes, supporting people across North Brisbane to stay active, healthy, and independent.

About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for a compassionate and dedicated Receptionist to join our friendly team at Healthy Connections, our allied health clinic based in Chermside. This role will be permanent part-time working a minimum of 21 hours per week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday .

Our receptionists are the initial point of phone and face to face contact for Healthy Connections, Burnie Brae members and the general community. They are also responsible for ensuring an exceptionally high level of customer service is provided and administration and project support requirements are fulfilled.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Greet and welcome clients, providing friendly and professional assistance with general enquiries
Handle incoming calls, ensuring all client queries are addressed promptly and effectively
Monitor emails and relevant registers, responding and returning calls in a timely manner
Proactively share information with clients and promote Healthy Connections services
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support smooth service delivery
Process payments, purchase orders, and receipts for clinic services and health funds
Coordinate bookings and manage practitioner schedules and diaries
Prepare and reconcile daily banking
Perform general administrative tasks, including mail handling and ordering office supplies
To be eligible for this role, you’ll bring:

Previous experience in a busy medical reception or similar administrative role
Experience in, or a strong interest in, the Allied Health and/or Not-for-Profit sectors (highly regarded)
Excellent telephone manner and outstanding face-to-face customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
The ability to quickly learn new systems, multitask, and work efficiently across multiple platforms
A warm, empathetic, and approachable nature when dealing with clients
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain one
