Full job description
We are seeking a friendly and experienced receptionist to join our team at our stunning riverfront hotel in Kangaroo Point. As a receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, welcoming guests and ensuring they have an enjoyable stay.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position (9 days per fortnight), including one day each weekend. We are seeking someone who can commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a receptionist in a 4–5 star hotel environment and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Basic skills in repairs and general maintenance are also required.
Core Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
Check guests in and out of the hotel
Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally
Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about hotel services and amenities
Make reservations and handle cancellations
Process payments and maintain accurate records
Prepare cleaners' roster and linen orders
Perform basic repair and maintenance work as needed
Carry out cleaning work as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist in a 4-5 star hotel environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to think quickly and solve problems promptly
Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic handyman skills to assist with routine repair and maintenance tasks
Commitment to a minimum 12-month tenure
