YHA Brisbane City is a 380-bed property located in the heart of the city providing comfortable and affordable accommodation and experiences to groups and independent travellers from around the world. This modern property offers a range of private and co-living accommodation rooms as well as an onsite cafe, rooftop pool and bar, co-working space, and wellness centre. Our crew of approximately 50 passionate and hardworking team members pride themselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and each other.

About the role:

We're seeking a part-time Front Desk Extraordinaire—someone with a vibrant spirit and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves fostering a friendly and lively atmosphere, responding to guest inquiries with helpful local insights, ensuring seamless check-ins and check-outs, and offering vital information to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, the successful candidate will resolve any guest concerns or disputes, escalating them to management when necessary.

What are we looking for:

Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service in an accommodation setting

Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Flexible availability 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends and public holidays

Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
