Primary Purpose
Working within the Training Department, the primary responsibility of this role is apprentice recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, supporting the operational functions of the department across two states (Victoria and Tasmania).
Duties:
Ensure approval to recruit processes, preparing advertising campaigns, telephone screening candidates, shortlisting, testing, behavioural interviewing etc;
Liaise with candidates to explore their CV and application process identifying the right people for apprenticeships
Build business knowledge and the apprenticeship scheme to support the hiring process
Manage on/off-boarding process (New starter packs, Exit requirements, final payments and collection of property, co-ordinate contract variations etc.)
Compliance documentation new starter - probation periods, VISA's, qualifications and certifications
Support for apprentice inductions, preparation of invitations, letters of offer, booking and tracking of medicals and assist with monitoring the AutoCareers website
Facilitate digital marketing via social media and other promotional activities events
Answer queries, participate in group projects, prepare weekly/monthly reports
Attend internal and external meetings and stakeholder liaison and advice
Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive and personal information
Selection Criteria
Demonstration of active work in a busy standalone recruitment role
Strong administration/marketing skills
Certificate or diploma level in marketing or business administration desirable
Ability to respond proactively to change
Delivery of consistent customer service to adolescents and adults
Great organisational and self-manage workload to meet multiple demands in a deadline driven environment
Well-developed written/verbal communication skills, the ability to produce accurate work, with attention to detail
Experience in managing databases and records
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment
Competent computing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, application of databases
A flexible approach to ensure work diversity is achieved
Requirement to maintain employee confidentiality at all times
