Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct phone screenings: Call 15-20 prospective candidates daily to conduct initial screening interviews for several open roles.
2. Ask standard questions: Follow a predefined questionnaire to ask about each candidate's current CTC (salary), notice period, past work experience, and motivation for a job change.
3. Document responses: Maintain detailed notes of each call, recording the candidates' answers and any noteworthy observations about their communication or background.
4. Evaluate candidate Fit: Assess each candidate's communication skills, confidence, and responses during the call. Use good judgment to determine if the candidate meets the basic requirements and role expectations.
5. Shortlist for next round: Decide which candidates should be qualified for the next round of interviews. Provide feedback or recommendations to the senior HR/recruitment team about candidates to move forward, and politely deselect those who do not meet the criteria.
6. Coordinate follow-ups: Collaborate with the HR team to schedule further interviews for shortlisted candidates or to update candidates on their application status, as needed.
7. Maintain data: Update internal trackers or databases with candidate information and screening outcomes to ensure an organized recruitment process (e.g., noting who was screened, qualified, or rejected).
8. Professional representation: Serve as a friendly and professional first point of contact for candidates - represent the company well by answering basic queries about the role and providing a positive candidate experience during the call.
