About the role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouseperson is responsible for the receipt, secure storage, and proper issue of materials and supplies required for operations. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
In this role you will:
Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Ship, receive and securely store materials
Perform duties such as: setting min/max levels, picking and filling orders, cycle and inventory counts
Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner including industrial forklifts
Perform heavy lifting in a safe manner
Ensure the safe and productive completion of warehouse storage related projects and requirements in a fast-paced environment
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes
Requirements:
Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Parts Technician (Warehouseperson) Certification
Valid driver’s license
Strong understanding of warehousing functions
The ability to quickly master a materials management system
Able to multi-task and meet challenges directly
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience in a mining or industrial environment is considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite® including Dynamics AX will be considered a strong asset

This position focuses on supporting parts room operations and supply chain functions in an industrial setting, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and handling heavy mining components. If you’re a Red Seal Parts Technician, Warehouse Technician, or WHMIS-certified Warehouse Associate with experience in an industrial or mining environment, we encourage you to apply.
