Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Redshift Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Amazon Redshift, advanced SQL optimization, and hands-on experience in developing robust ETL pipelines and data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services
• Build and optimize data warehouses using Amazon Redshift
• Write efficient and complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets
• Perform query tuning and performance optimization in Redshift
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation
• Implement data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• Integrate data from multiple structured and semi-structured sources
• Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot performance or data issues
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders
• Support production deployments and ongoing enhancements
Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Amazon Redshift
• Advanced SQL and query performance tuning
• Experience with AWS Data Services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, etc.)
• Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing & Data Modeling concepts
• Knowledge of data ingestion from APIs, files, and databases
• Experience working in Agile environments
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience with Python / PySpark
• Exposure to Airflow or workflow orchestration tools
• Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI / Tableau
• Understanding of data governance & security best practices
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder interaction
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
